Curriculum Is Skill Based
All activities serve the purpose of supporting development that leads to increased skills.
Children Learn Through Play
Activities are designed for children to interact with both their peers, their indoor & outdoor environment, and with the learning materials.
Age-Appropriate Activities
An activity for a 3-year-old will look different than for a 5-year-old. For example, a 2-year-old circle time will be shorter than a 4-year-old circle time.
Culturally Inclusive & Meaningful Activities
We learn from families about their culture and incorporate activities so that others can also learn. We celebrate cultural and familial differences and practice anti-bias curriculum.
Activities are Adapted to Meet the Child’s Needs
We embrace all learning differences and will make reasonable adjustments to our activities to ensure success, regardless of the ability, disability or special need.
Cirriculum Planning is Observation-Based & Intentional
What children teach us about their interests and skills will be reflected in the activities, including extending the activity when we observe that children want to engage more.
