Calendar 2023 – 2024 School Year

Hours of Operation: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm

August, 2023

• Friday, 4^th : Ice Cream Social (12:30-2:30 pm)
• Monday, 7^th – Friday, 11^th  –  Staff Work Week (no childcare provided)
• Monday, 14^th  :  First day of school. Orientation Day for M/W/F & M-F Classes (AM & PM) – parents and children come together

September, 2023 – Little Hoopers & little Mozart will begin this month

• Friday, 1^st : Family Movie Night (7:30 pm)
• Monday, 4^th : Labor Day – School Closed
• Saturday, 16^th : Back to School Day (all classes) 9:00 am to 11:30 am (parents only – childcare provided as needed)
• Thursday, 28^th & Friday, 29^th : Evacuation Drills (parents pick up at Mary Meade Park at end of class)

October, 2023 – Parent/Teacher Phone Conferences begin

• Monday, 9^th : Indigenous People’s Day – School Open
• Thursday, 12^th & Friday, 13^th : Lockdown Drills (during class)
• Tuesday, 31^st : Halloween Sings for all classes (MWF, T/TH and M-F classes, AM & PM) – Parents return at 10:00 am for Sings & classroom parties

November, 2023 (Sunday 5th Daylight Savings Time Ends “Fall Back”; Veteran’s Day on Sat., 11/11)

• Wednesday, 8^th through Friday, 10^th : Fall/Holiday Photo Sessions with PLM Productions. Download Flyer
• Wednesday, 15^th : Enrollment for 2023/24 begins for new and current parents (date subject to change)
• Monday, 20^th & Tuesday, 21^st : Thanksgiving Assemblies (during class)
• Wednesday, 22^nd – Friday, 24^th : Thanksgiving Break – School Closed (no care provided)

December, 2023

• Friday 22^nd : Holiday Sing for all classes (MWF, T/TH & M-F Classes AM & PM) – Parents Return at 10:00 am for Sings and classroom parties. Download Flyer
• Monday, 25^th – Friday, January 5^th (return on Jan. 8^th) : December Break – School Closed (F/T Holiday Care offered both weeks except on Christmas Day and NY’s Day).
• Saturday, Dec. 2^nd:  Parents’ Night Out (PNO) 3-9 pm. Download Flyer

January, 2024

• Thursday, 18^th : Parent Ed Talk “Kindergarten Readiness” by Stephanie Agnew (via Zoom)
• Monday, 15^th : Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday – School Closed

February, 2024

• Tuesday, 13^th & Wednesday, 14^th : Valentines Parties (during class)
• Thursday, 15^th & Friday, 16^th : Parent/Teacher Conferences – School Closed (Holiday Care offered)
• Monday, 19^th to Friday, 23^rd : February Break – School Closed (Holiday Care offered, including on President’s Day Monday 19^th)
• Thursday, 29^th : Summer Camp 2024 Enrollment begins
• Little Hoopers Winter Session classes

March, 2024 (Sunday 10th Day Light Savings Time Begins “Spring Forward”; Easter Sunday on 31st; Community Helpers Month)

June, 2024

• Friday, 7^th : Campus Picnic for all classes (MWF, T/TH & M-F Classes AM & PM) – parents & children come together for sing, magic show & classroom picnics/parties, Last day of School for all classes.
• Monday, 10^th – Friday, 14^th : June Break – School Closed (Holiday Care offered)
• Monday, 17^th : Summer Teacher Workday – School Closed
• Tuesday, 18^th – Friday, August 2^nd: Summer Camp 2024 with Age appropriate camps & F/T Drop-in/Back-up Care

July & August, 2024 (Thursday, July 4th Independence Day Holiday)

• Monday, July 22^nd – Friday, August 2^nd : Music & Magic Camp (AM only) and F/T Drop-in Holiday Care offered (camp dates subject to change)
• Friday, August 2^nd : Music & Magic Camp Performance (11:30 am) and Ice Cream Social (12:30-2:30 pm)
